Ca. 87 % der j\u00fcngeren Senioren geben an, sehr zufrieden oder zufrieden mit ihren Implantaten zu sein. Doch trotz beachtlicher Erfolgsquoten geht alle vier Minuten ein Implantat verloren, also in 140.000 F\u00e4llen pro Jahr, so Experten (Wagner 2010). Eine der h\u00e4ufigsten Ursachen f\u00fcr Implantatverlust sind unentdeckte Entz\u00fcndungen und Gewebeabbauprozesse: Im Mittel wurden bei ca. 47% der Implantatpatienten und bei fast 30% der Implantate eine periimplant\u00e4re Mukositis festgestellt (Lee et al. 2017). Eine Periimplantitis lag bei bei fast 20% der Implantat-Patienten und bei ca. 9% der Implantate vor, wie eine aktuelle Metaanalyse zeigt (Lee et al. 2017).<\/span><\/p>\n
