The sports nutrition brand AMSPORT® came about by chance. It is the result of my own comeback program as a swimmer. At the age of 35, I was able to win another world championship title and am still the oldest swimming world champion of all time. As part of my comeback program, I questioned my eating habits and came to the conclusion that I needed to make some fundamental changes. I developed a diet program tailored to me and an amino acid supplement that would specifically support my build-up program and my performance. The success proved me right and generated so much attention that not only competitive athletes approached me and were interested in the diet program and the amino acid supplement.

The original amino acid supplement, AMSPORT Amino Acids, is now in its 8th evolutionary stage. The AMSPORT range has grown continuously and continues to develop under the premise that the needs of both recreational and competitive athletes are taken into account.
