From the Lower Rhine to the Rhineland - and never back. Because let's be honest: there's nothing more beautiful than the Rhineland. Knut Wernitz probably thought so too. Born in Viersen in 1986, he gradually moved further and further south towards the Rhineland. After studying dentistry at RWTH Aachen University, Knut Wernitz initially worked as a salaried dentist in Cologne-Junkersdorf for seven years. In 2018, in addition to general dentistry, he specialised in the field of aesthetics by completing the curriculum, which is his passion alongside digital dentistry.

In September 2020, the current dental practice Knut Wernitz was taken over by Dr Wouter Wallin and thus the step into self-employment. As a result, the practice premises were extensively renovated at the beginning of 2021. Since then, Knut Wernitz has been working as an independent practice owner at Kölnstraße 130 and couldn't be happier about this step. Because not only Hangelar, but also the team & the great patients have turned out to be an absolute ‘match’.

And what do you do besides being your favourite dentist? If time permits, you can meet Knut Wernitz at kickboxing training or with his family at his favourite Italian restaurant around the corner. Knut Wernitz also discovered painting for himself a few years ago - albeit initially only in his basement hobby room.

His most memorable experience to date? Certainly the research expedition to Nepal in 2012, where he and Prof Dr Thomas Küpper's team investigated the effects of altitude sickness on the dental health of trekkers during high-altitude medical expeditions.

And one thing is certain: it never gets boring with him!
