Prof. Dr. Dr. Reinhard P.T. Rychlik

Professor Reinhard P. T. Rychlik (born 1952) studied medicine, social sciences, economics and psychology.

He is a member of the medical faculty at Ruhr University Bochum, has been a visiting professor of health economics at the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague since 1999, and has been an adjunct professor of pharmaceutical economics at the School of Pharmacy at Temple University in Philadelphia since 2000.

He has been director of the Institute for Empirical Health Economics in Burscheid since 1994.

Prof. Rychlik is the author of several specialist books and numerous specialist publications, editor-in-chief of the journal Gesundheitsökonomie & Qualitätsmanagement (Health Economics & Quality Management, Thieme Verlag) and a member of the board of the German Society for Health Economics.

He is also an impartial assessor at the Regional Arbitration Board for Statutory Health Insurance in Westphalia-Lippe, an expert advisor to the German Bundestag, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the DAK, a member of national and international professional associations, an expert advisor to the G-BA and an expert advisor to the European Union in the field of public health and health economics.
