OralFitness Centres© are specially qualified dental practices that place a high priority on tooth and implant preservation and have therefore specialised in this area. After undergoing appropriate knowledge testing, they have been awarded a seal of approval by the DMS.

In addition to a highly qualified dental hygiene team, they are certified in the field of predictive biomarker diagnostics – i.e., these practices consistently focus on early detection and personalised prevention and pursue the goal of preserving natural teeth or dental implants for life. Technologically, certified practices have access to aMMP-8 biomarker diagnostics, the scientifically outstanding method of prediction using saliva samples. aMMP-8 saliva screening measures the destruction of the extracellular matrix and collagenolysis in real time. More than 300 studies show that the procedure can detect potential risks two to five years before the onset of disease, enabling targeted prevention to preserve teeth and implants (Guarnieri et al.).

Sustainable implant health through early detection diagnostics (01 and in Implant Recall)
We are now aiming to double the normal lifespan of implants by combining predictive diagnostics and targeted preventive measures – and we are working towards this goal together with our technology and expertise partner practices.

Innovative preventive diagnostics
A recent long-term study (Guarnieri et al.) proves that predictive aMMP-8 ImplantSafe® diagnostics can detect peri-implant bone loss at the chairside within just ten minutes – and that 24 months before it manifests itself. Peri-implantitis can be prevented with 90% certainty through active cooperation from your patients and targeted preventive measures, without changing your tried-and-tested procedures and processes.

Qualified ImplantSafe Centres© utilise this technological advantage and can prevent peri-implantitis, which is usually caused by poor hygiene, through predictive diagnostics combined with targeted preventive measures. ImplantSafe Centres© therefore already comply with the legally binding (MDR 2021*) requirement for preventive damage control in individually manufactured implant services.

Scholarship
Every year, the German Oral Health Foundation (DMS) awards 30 scholarships for the masterclass to dental hygienists, prophylaxis specialists and practice managers.

Within this framework, DMS covers 50 percent of the registration costs for seminar participation, including certification. Scholarship holders also receive certificates for their CVs and additional qualifications as OralFitness Coach© and Competence Partner in the Micronutrient Expert Network.
