• Dr. Eduard Stappler studied dentistry at the University of Cologne and received his doctorate there in 2001. After his residency (2001-2003), he settled in the goMedus health center in Cologne. At this pilot project of the DKV health insurance company, he gained his first comprehensive medical marketing experience.
• In 2005, he developed goDentis as a dental prophylaxis program and opened the first goDentis headquarters in the goMedus health center in Cologne. After a successful pilot and optimization phase, the system was converted into a franchise model. With over 300 franchisees, it became one of the top 10 franchise models in Germany.
• In 2007, Dr. Stappler founded the smart teeth practice on 600 m^2 with its own dental laboratory and operating room. From this work he developed a comprehensive practice system manual to standardize all processes, treatments, leitmotifs and communication guides.
• In 2012, he then opened one of the first Z-MVZs in NRW (www.Zahnstation.de). In this Z-MVZ, Dr. Stappler did not practice dentistry himself, but focused solely on the management and optimization of the concept incl. practice system manual.
• In 2015, he opened another site in Erftstadt to test the transferability of the concept and processes to another site. For this purpose, his wife Dr. med. dent. Julia Stappler took over the practice of a colleague who wanted to retire after 32 years. Just one year after opening, sales were 2.5 times higher than the previous owner's best year. This was proof that the concept could be duplicated.
• In 2016, he accepted an offer from the investment company Auctus Capital for a partial sale of the Z-MVZ practices. Here, a total of 100 locations were to be established throughout Germany over the next 6 years according to Dr. Stappler's concept. As CEO of the company, Dr. Stappler succeeded in opening five additional locations in 2017. In the process, Dr. Stappler was significantly involved in all negotiation talks for the takeover or new establishment. All construction projects were initiated and accompanied by him. To this end, he conducted around 300 interviews and provided intensive personal on-site support for three weeks after the opening of each location as a start-up aid.
• The economic success and the pace of growth then attracted the attention of another major financial investor. Auctus Capital therefore received an irresistible offer and subsequently sold Z-MVZ Group Zahnstation in April 2018.
• In 2019, Dr. Stappler became managing partner of Medentcon GmbH. The company specializes in professional dental coaching.
• In 2021, the MVZ Zahnärzte im Bazaar was taken over by Dr. Stappler.

Success in the dental practice today also depends on the effort to think outside the box. The shift in dentistry towards more digitalization and prophylaxis orientation is clear and dentists who do not engage in innovative treatment concepts quickly fall behind. To date, dentistry has only been able to diagnose existing diseases based on irreversible lesions that have already occurred. The aMMP8 enzyme test adds a new dimension to diagnostics and allows dentists and patients to look into the future. This new approach to sustainable and body-conscious patient health maintenance presents the dental profession with new challenges in its usual practice routine. Here, Medentcon, as a leading German company in the field of process optimization for dental practices, would like to provide a module for the implementation of this future-oriented treatment option. In my practice MVZ - Zahnärzte im Bazaar in Cologne, we successfully demonstrate how modern prophylaxis today professionally keeps patients healthy.
